I don't like Gov. Dean but I do agree with the statement that credit should be given to Pres. Obama. He has come up with a new ideas to get America back to work. Ideas based on Clinton and FDR. 2 of the best Democratic Presidents of the 20th century. It's sad that idiot Canter cannot see that. I am afraid that the Tea Partiers will never let it happen though. We are going to have to wait to the 2012 Election.

LOL- It was Obama's idea to extend the SS funding tax that has worked so well up to now? It was Obama's idea to pass a 6th extension to the 99 week unemployment compensation plan, since the original plan and its 5 extensions have worked so well? It is Obama's plan to take Wichita KS off the map with a destruction of the small jet industry? I can't even imagine the paperwork a small business will have to do to prove a new hire had been unemployed for a significant amount of time- my bet is they will hire the person if it makes economic sense, but the paperwork will be onerous enough they will skip it as not worth the trouble. Which leaves us with an infrastructure bank, funded with an original sum of money, then self funded off the interest it receives. This is a good one- how much interest do you expect this bank will earn at 1.5% per year? And will additional funding come in the way of municipal bonds? The kind that John Kerry's family is stocked full of (that are Federal Income Tax Free)?
And let me guess- it is critical we pass this bill immediately (as claimed in 2009 when the Obama plan was guarenteed to keep unemployment below 8%) before he changed his story and claimed he really didn't know how bad it was? Or health care- we had to pass it so fast that no one had a chance to readd it until after passage?
There you arm chair Presidents go again . . . tearing down President Obama no matter what he does . . .and he has done a lot so far.

you know, rusty, in this case you are the one who is utterly nonsensical and completely ridiculous. speaking of lies-how about the time bush said there were weapons of mass destruction in iraq. he took his eye off the ball (bin laden) in afghanistan, and went after saddam hussein instead. NO ONE, including the republican party, had any idea how bad the recession was going to get. not to mention the fact that we are still under the bush tax policy. i would also like to add here that when President Obama took office, he ramped up the hunt for bin laden, and it didn't take the president very long to send in the seals after he made it a priority. getting bin laden, was simply not a priority for GWB, as he proved.
how many times do we have to hear over and over FROM YOU about President Obama's "swearing" to keep unemployment below 8%? it was NOT a promise, and he certainly didn't "swear" that unemployment wouldn't go above 8%. politicians say all kinds of things when they are campaigning (democrats and republicans) and trying to get elected. bush's lie was a deliberate lie, which caused the death's of many innocent americans and hundreds of thousands of innocent iraqi citizens.
it was an educated guess based on what he been told by economists.
if i were you i would be more concerned about bush's lies about WMD, and about his administration outing a CIA agent because her husband refused to lie for them about WMD.

So be it. But, Obama did tell Congress and the US that if they acted promptly with his $787B stimulus plan in 2009 that he could keep it under 8%. You changing the story now doesn't re-write that. I also watched Rachel's show this evening (currently, it is on). Rachel is showing how wrong R candidates are because Huntsman claimed Obama's stimulus plan didn't save or create 1 job. Rachel laughingly showed that according to CBO numbers, they actually saved or created between 900,000 and 2.9M jobs (I think the smaller number is accurate, but I was focused on the 2.9M, so I know it is).
So, according to Rachel Maddow, each job Obama saved or created cost $271,000. And he wants more of this action? If you don't like these numbers, ask Rachel about them. In her usual way of trying to make Rs look foolish, she has also managed to unintentionally make Ds look just as foolish- if you stop to think about it. I hope you will- but I have no doubt MrsT will merely ramble.

I have never seen such hateful, blood thirsty, un American bunch of people that I saw on the republican debates.... When the croud yelled out "Let him die" about a man that was in the hospital and didn't have any insurance was the meanest thing I have ever heard. I have some really nice neighbors but I don't expect them to care for me if I get sick or pay my bills.. I am fortunate to have medicare which I pay for every month... If the tea party is a view of our future then we are in real trouble.......

I see that Jeffrey Immelt, Obama's appointed Jobs Czar has created 450 new jobs with a new Tech Center (in Germany). The Barron's article stated that you couldn't spell Germany with g and e, but there was no U or S in General Electric.
